I am currently working as a post-doc in Dr. Brenda Brouwer's Lab. I have previously worked in Dr. Carolynn Patten's lab where we were trying to understand the neurophysiological effects of impairment and training (both upper limb function and gait) in people with stroke.
My post-doctoral work in the past was with Dr. Carolynn Patten, Dr. Andrea Behrman and Dr. Floyd Thompson. In Dr. Thompson's lab, I worked with contusion spinal cord injury model in rats.
My doctoral research revolved around understanding how various sensory inputs affect reflexes in the task of walking in people with spinal cord injury. My broader field of interest is walking rehabilitation and studying ways to enhance walking and overall motor function after neurological injuries.
I am hoping to acquire more skills on this road of scientific inquiry.
